So through using basic, reusable objects, we were able to create a great tranquil device for the price of seven dollars. Enjoy!!
**We also bought a pan that was not used in the making of our object. Below is a picture.
Here is a picture of Joanne enjoying the smell that is beginning to fill the room. You can see from her expression she is thoroughly enjoying this new serene smell.
Here is a picture of the water being poured into the strainer to allow for a gradual release of water into the rocks. We found that it is better to use hot water because there is a higher intensity of smell that is produced. And the best part of this is THE WATER IS FREE.
This is the vase we bought to hold the scented rocks and sticks. We wanted to use an object that was both eye-catching, yet affordable. This vase was a total of four dollars.
These are the scented rocks that are the centerpiece of our homemade serenity device. We placed the rocks inside the vase, amongst the sticks, to enhance the smell.
These are the scented sticks that are placed throughout the rocks to enhance the smell of the object. We bought these sticks in a package for one-dollar.
This is a sifter we bought for the one-dollar, that would be used to both strain the warm water at a delicate speed, as well as release the tranquil scent. We cut out the wiring from the plastic holder to use on top of the vase.
For our project our goal was to create a device for any home that is affordable, yet useful. We wanted to incorporate a decorative piece that had both a great aroma and is appealing to the eye.
